The Rundown

We made it to Iowa in about 7 hours (the last couple in bad fog). It was a peaceful trip because the girls slept almost the entire trip. Pete made it the next day and it took him 27 hours! He missed the Colorado weather by going farther south. He is leaving tomorrow to pick up Holly in Cincinnati from her family. Christmas Eve was spent with the Meier side. We met baby Izak for the first time. Leah crawled up to him and patted him gently on the back. Libby played with Jaxon and Keegan too. Santa made it Christmas morning to the Meier house! We had the Merfeld side come and have a "pauty" again. Grandma Ash couldn't make it because she had the nasty virus going around. She seemed a lot better today and even cracked some jokes! Shanghai (sp?) is a tradition and I completely sucked, but it was still a ton of fun. Grandma Meier woke up with the nasty virus! She has been running to the bathroom and hasn't eaten anything! We hope she feels better and keeps that bug to herself. Grandma B. also has the same stuff. Girls Nite Out was so much fun. It was great catching up with the girls of '94. It made me really miss Monticello, Iowa! We laughed so hard and I really didn't want to go home! Enjoy the pictures!
