She has what?!

Leah had her 9 month check yesterday. I thought for sure we would be in and out since she is doing great, no issues, no problems... until I stripped her down and the nurse said, "What is that on her leg?" It was two tiny red bumps. I thought, "And people think I'M paranoid and over-protective?" Well, when Dr. Adenuga checked them out, he asked if she had a fever in the last week. NOPE. Loss of appetite? NADA. He did a thorough check and came up with Hand/Foot/Mouth disease. (April, did Nora have that?) What an awful name!! Doesn't that sound serious and gross? It really is just a virus that runs its way through and goes away in 5 or 6 days. Why do they have to call it a disease?! Our sweet, innocent baby with a nasty sounding disease?
The rest of the appointment was fine. Her (Rorick) head and length are at the 75%ile. Her weight is between the 10th and 25th%ile. They called her a tall and slender baby. When I looked back at Lib's baby book, Leah is almost exactly the same size (weight and height) as Lib when she turned 1. Libby's head was always over the 100th%ile though. It is funny that two kids can be so different. Sorry we have been bad about pics. We will get some pumpkin pics on there like Megan and Nora's blogs! Thanks for the fun idea!
