Good Bye Old Yucky Kitchen!

Out with the old, in with the new! The crew starts tomorrow ripping out the nasty floors, yuck windows, and pretty much everything. I really enjoyed the cupboards because they were so sturdy, but they were a little ugly and falling apart. The carpeted floor was just nasty too. It will be so nice to have a dishwasher, a drain that drains, a garbage disposal and windows that don't let in all of the air from the 3 degree temperatures. The back porch is also going to be part of the kitchen now too which will also be better insulated. It will be so nice to get that finished, but crappy in the mean time with no use of a sink or stove. Grandma Meier came up with a brilliant plan to do the cooking today and then freeze it for the next few weeks. I made stuffed peppers, meatloaf, tatortot caserole, and enchilada caserole for dinners along with cookies and muffins. Great idea!
