Leah's out!

Leah was put into the hospital for dehydration from rota virus. She had pneumonia two weeks ago so her immune system was shot! She had been vomiting since Sunday and then the squirts started. She was miserable and started getting really lethargic. I took her to the packed ER in Toledo. The triage nurse moved her to the front of the line saying she "looked like crap". Her breathing was too fast and she was dehydrated. She wasn't eating or drinking anything either. They pushed us right in and then the dr. said they were going to try the cancer drug for anti vomiting first. She ate a Popsicle and kept it down, so they sent us home. We had an appt. w/ her own dr. the next morning and he said she should be admitted for sure. We went straight back and then ended up staying all night. They had to poke her 3x but they didn't mess with her "suck thumb". They pumped her full of liquids. She got released the next afternoon and now she is back home! I wouldn't say she is completely out of the woods yet, but she is smiling and yacking constantly. She still complains of her belly hurting and is still having the squirts, but hopefully we can stay away from the hospital now! The hospital was excellent and gave Leah all kinds of fun goodies to make her feel better. Thanks for all our your thoughts and prayers!

What a scary experience for her and all of you! I'm glad to hear she's getting better and back home even if she did get a lot of cool stuff from the hospital.

Was she released by the hospital or did she break out on her own?

I just adore all of those curls!! Such a cute picture, even if she is in a hospital bed.....
