An Exciting Mess!

Well, this is our new kitchen! They are working at super speed pace and we are sooo excited. The pole that Lib is standing by is a minor bump in the plans. It is the heat pipe that heats the entire upstairs. It can't be moved and that is where we were going to have cupboards. Our floor is also sloped 2 1/2 inches down (they built it like that??) There were also bricks to the roof and even two live bats! EWWWW!!! I guess they were described as mean bats too. :( We also made a mad rush to Lowe's to look at lights. HATE HATE HATE Lowe's and the dumb lights! Our necks are still aching from us standing with our heads tilted ALL the way back. We thought we needed to get the lights then, so we made dumb decisions b/c of Leah's lack of patience and high amount of gas (she blamed on John!!!). We are going to take back almost all of the lights and get what we want. John REALLY wants a fan and I really want pedestal lights over the sink. We are both getting our way now! YEAH!
