We planned a surprise for Grandma Meier's birthday in Chicago this year. Pete flew in from LA and it was sooo much fun! She was truly surprised and as Libby would say, "She said OHHH and had her mouth opened all the way up!" We had adjoining rooms and right when they got there, the girls knocked on that door. When she opened it up, she was in shock! She stood there for the longest time just stunned. Perfect! Then Pete's plane came in just before she went to sleep ( she said she wasn't asleep yet). He "woke" her up and she was shocked again!!! We ate a ton of food, laughed a lot, rode the trains and bus systems, went to Navy Pier, Grant Park, Children's Museum, visited Wrigley right after a Cub win, went swimming, and so much more. There are tons of pics, but these were all we had time for tonight. :) THANKS so much for the wonderful time! :) We will always remember and cherish it.
