Wild Child

We have all been sick with puking, squirting, and just feeling yuck for the last month. A couple of days ago, John woke up puking. 10 min. later, Lib and I were squirting, and Leah (who had been puking the night before) was fine and went to daycare. I went to work since I wasn't running a fever... just running to the bathroom. I went home to make lunch for the "sickies" and Libby was running all around taking care of daddy and felt so big. At 2:30, Laura called the school. All I was thinking was some kind of grossness must be coming out of Leah now... but Laura said, "Leah fell off the slide." The slide is about 12 feet off the ground! My heart sunk and she then explained that her lip was busted up but wasn't sure if she needed stitches or not. I flew over there and you could see a curved line on the top part. Laura didn't actually see it happen, but thought her tooth went all the way up and out the other side!! :( Poor Leah!

I tried taking her to the Morenci Care place in town, but they said if she didn't have an appointment, they couldn't see her. :( GRRRR. Her lip was still bleeding and oozing. We went to the next town 10 min. away to the Clinic and they also sent us away saying it was going to be over an hour wait and then they would be closing..... so we went to Adrian (20 more min. away) to her pediatrician, Dr. Adenuga.
The extreme chipper nurse was trying to get Leah's blood pressure, weight, and temp. and Leah wasn't exacty in a chipper or pleasing mood. She kept telling her, "NO! Don't touch me!" and clinging onto me like a monkey. She did finally get her to cooperate and she still weighs 24 lbs. which is the same as in January! Doc said for sure it would've left a scar and he did the glue stuff. The next day, it was REALLY swollen and green. :( Dr. Adenuga checked her again and said it was just the glue but to keep an eye on it. The picture doesn't do justice, it was NASTY! He also put her on antibiotics just in case she had an infection. It makes the other gross stuff seem like nothing now! We are all back to "normal" now and doing just fine. She is happy because she can still suck her thumb.
I will post of picture of the kitchen sometime soon!
